Fiscal court waives zoning enforcement until Aug. 1

The Trimble County Fiscal Court has officially suspended zoning until Aug. 1 with the passage of the second ordinance reading during Tuesday’s three-hour regular meeting.

The discussion on the second reading began with magistrate Kirby Melvin asking if a public hearing toward the end of the suspension would count although the ordinance was not being enforced. County Attorney Crystal Heinz said a public hearing would count based on Kentucky Revised Statutes.

Judge-Executive Todd Pollock reiterated the reasoning for suspending enforcement of the ordinance.
