Trimble County’s Lady Raiders, the number one seed in last week’s 29th District Tournament, came ready to play in the opening round game Tuesday against North Oldham, eventually sweeping the floor with the hapless Lady Mustangs to the tune of a 50-28 final score. The tournament was held at Oldham County High School’s gymnasium in Buckner.

Trimble coach Kerrie Stewart enjoyed a thrill of a lifetime Friday as she and her Lady Raiders finally cut down the nets from the Oldham County High School gymnasium after handily defeating longtime nemesis Oldham County, 64-48,  to claim the school’s third consecutive district title. This was a first, however. The previous titles had been won at North Oldham in 2015 and at home last year.
