    Trimble County Fiscal Court will meet at 9 a.m. tomorrow to elect an Interim County Judge-Executive to serve until such time as Gov. Steve Beshear fills the vacancy.

    Outgoing Trimble County Judge-Executive Randy Stevens reflected Monday on a decade of service as the county’s chief executive. Today is Stevens’ last day on the job as he prepares to begin a new chapter in his life of employment in two weeks in Frankfort.

  • 23rd Annual Bedford Bash is Friday at courthouse

    The 23rd Annual Bedford Bash will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 17th.

    Entertainment gets underway at 6:30 p.m. with the Trimble County High School Band and Trimble County cheerleaders performing. Popular local band Young Country will perform starting at 8 p.m. In the event of rain the band will perform inside at the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department.

  • Margie Webster named Signature’s CNA of the Year

    Signature HealthCARE has recognized Bedford resident Margie Webster as Certified Nursing Assistant of the Year. Webster has been employed at the Bedford nursing home facility for 23 years this month.

    Signature HealthCARE of Trimble County Administrator Mark Witt said Webster was chosen from among personnel of 30 facilities in the Signature system.

    “We nominated her and she was selected the best CNA out of those 30 buildings in our segment,” Witt said.

  • Perryville set for 150th anniversary of battle

    PERRYVILLE, Ky. - Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site is commemorating the 150th anniversary of the largest Civil War confrontation in Kentucky on Oct. 6-7, with three battle re-enactments.

    The weekend will also include living history demonstrations, artillery demonstrations, military camps, expert speakers and paranormal tours.
