  • Rotary learns of Morgan’s 1863 Civil War raid

    John Hunt Morgan’s “Great Raid of 1863” was the only major military activity in Indiana during the Civil War. The Trimble Banner Managing Editor Dave Taylor provided a fascinating account of the raid to Bedford Rotary on Oct. 21. Morgan’s raid, including some 2000 men, covered many miles through Indiana and Ohio pillaging and destroying much along the way.

  • DIGNITARIES DEDICATE NEW BRIDGE

    The communities of Milton, Ky., and Madison, Ind., turned out in large numbers Tuesday afternoon as Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and Indiana Governor Mike Pence — joined by other dignitaries — led a public dedication of the new Milton-Madison Bridge. Ceremonies were held indoors at Madison’s Brown Memorial Gymnasium due to inclement weather.
