  • Bedford Baptist Church is hosting a simulcast of “Paul, Apostle of Christ” at 7 p.m., Sunday in the Sanctuary.

    The simulcast includes a guest appearance from the actor, Jim Caviezel. The movie will appear in theaters starting March 23.

    Everyone is welcome to attend.

  • Once upon a time I was content with one pillow. This solitary pillow was sufficient to cradle my head through the nighttime hours. I spurned extra pillows and throw cushions because it just seemed redundant. After all, I only had one head so why on earth was it necessary to own more than one pillow? I found the body pillow to be creepy and intrusive. Yes, I was more than content with the lone pillow.

  • Trimble County Public Schools has announced dates in April for kindergarten registration at both elementary schools.

    Registration for kindergarten students who will attend Milton Elementary will be between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., April 13. Registration for Bedford Elementary will be from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., April 20.

  • It is likely Eastern Tent Caterpillars will begin to hatch soon, said Lee Townsend, University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment extension entomologist.

    After spending about nine months as eggs in masses on twigs of wild cherry and related trees, the first few tiny Eastern Tent Caterpillars of the season soon should be leaving their eggs, Townsend said.
