    The United Outreach for Christ tent meeting will be held at Callis Grove Campground, four miles north of Bedford, Sept. 14-21. The evangelist will be Bro. Allen Moran, former pastor of Milton Methodist Church, now of Somerset, Ky. The song leader will be Jessie Harris of New Castle. There will be special music each service.

    Courtney Baxter, LaGrange Rotarian and Commonwealth Attorney for the 12th Judicial Circuit, took time from her busy schedule to visit Bedford Rotary and present information about “Hand in Hand Ministries” (HHM). HHM is relatively new (1994) with the objective to “build strong communities and transform lives through cultural immersion, education, housing, and healthcare.”

    The Trimble County Apple Festival will be held on the Trimble County Courthouse Square.
    Thurs., Sept. 15
    The White Castle truck will be at Riverside Produce in Milton on Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds go to the Milton Masonic Lodge.
