  • A number of weeks ago, I injured my left knee.

It had been months since I had gone to the Y to exercise and I had finally decided it was time to go back. I bought new exercise clothes and talked to the wellness director for even more motivation.

    I was psyched.

On a Wednesday afternoon, I got to the Y 45 minutes before the Strong by Zumba class started so that I could walk on the treadmill first.

  • You may have recently made a decision to get healthier but may not know where to start. Adding physical activity to your routine is a great way to improve your mind, mood and body.

Adults need 150 minutes of physical activity each week. While this may seem overwhelming, you can split up over the week, but keep it in 10-minute segments. Set an appointment and keep it with yourself each day to ensure you meet this goal.

  • My husband and I have broken one of our cardinal rules of money management; we’ve purchased a new car.

It’s actually a used car with limited miles but it’s still pretty new to us. His wasn’t a sanitized, heartwarming story, although it started out that way.
