    POUND class: Sweat, sculpt and rock with POUND, the fastest growing group fitness phenomenon inspired by the infectious, energizing fun of drumming. POUND is a full body cardio jam session taking place at 10:30 a.m. each Thursday at the library. The class is free and takes place in the meeting room. All levels of fitness are welcome.

    The Trimble County Senior Center is located at 3240 U.S. 421N in Bedford at the Trimble County Park. It is operated by Tri-County Community Action Agency and open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, contact the center at 502-255-7514.

    Knit Wits craft group: Bring your knitting, quilting, crochet, and scrapbooking to this craft group. We have plenty of room for large projects. Bring your latest project, hang out with fellow crafters, and enjoy some pastries. The group, open to ages 16 and up, takes place at 10 a.m. in the Library meeting room.

    End of Summer Bash: Join us for the last day of summer reading fun at 1 p.m. This is the last day to turn in tickets and register for prizes.

    The Trimble County Family Resources and Youth Services Center will have a back-to-school fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bedford Elementary for students attending Trimble County Head Start, Bedford Elementary, Milton Elementary and Trimble County Junior and Senior High School. Each person can fill one provided bag with needed clothing at the event and each school-age child will also receive a basic school supply kit.     There will be a baby adoption fundraiser at 6 p.m. at the Morgan Community Center. Bunco will be offered and the price to play is a $10 donation. Pizza, chips, and drinks will also be available for purchase.

    The Trimble County Historical Society regular meeting is at 10:30 a.m. at the Trimble County Public Library. Everyone is invited and welcome to attend.

    The Betsy Jackson Memorial Fundraiser for the Henry-Trimble Animal Shelter is 2-6 p.m. July 14 at the parking lot of Eminence Apothecary. Adoptable dogs will e at the event in addition to a bake sale and silent auction. All proceeds will go directly to the animal shelter. Donations can also be dropped off at the event.

    The Trimble County Fiscal Court meets at 5:30 p.m. at the Fiscal Court Building.

    The Bedford City Commission meets at 6 p.m. at Bedford City Hall.

    Movie club: Families can enjoy a free movie and snacks. The family friendly movie will be shown at 10:30 a.m. in the meeting room.

    Outdoor concert: Enjoy a free concert at 7 p.m. in front of the library. James Puckett and band will be performing. Bring a lawn chair and the library will provide the music and refreshments.
