Milton City Commission will meet a 7 p.m. at the Milton Municipal Building.

The Trimble County Apple Festival will be held on the Trimble County Courthouse Square.
Thurs., Sept. 15
The White Castle truck will be at Riverside Produce in Milton on Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds go to the Milton Masonic Lodge.
JCTC Trimble County Adult Education will have an Open House & Drawing for 12 Free GED Tests at a $240 value.  The Open House is from 12-2 and the Drawing will be held at 1 P.M.  Refreshments will be served.  Everyone is invited.  The center is now located at 116 Wentworth Ave., Room 112, in Bedford at the former Middle School.  Call 502-255-9191 for more information.

There will be a free CCDW class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Trimble County Public Library at 35 Equity Drive in Bedford. All are welcome to participate in the class led by certified instructor J.T. Jackson. To receive the Certificate of Training from KYDOCJT, a CCDW permit requires  that the Kentucky resident is at least 21 years old and a non-felon. There is a $25 permit charge payable to the KY State Treasurer.  The instructor will facilitate the CCDW permit application process.  Contact Instructor J.T. Jackson to register at 502-221-0575. The Trimble County High School Class of 1976 has scheduled their 40 year reunion for Saturday, Oct. 1, 2106, at Broadway Hotel Restaurant & Tavern, 313 Broadway Street in Madison, Ind., starting at 6 p.m. There will be no reservation costs; classmates may order food and drinks off menu if interested. Display your photography in September during the Trimble County Public Library Photography Exhibit. All photographs must be submitted by Aug. 31. Participants must be 16 years or older. There is a limit of two entries per person. Photographs must be 8” x 10” or larger and must be framed and/or hang-able. Photographs will be on display Sept. 6 - 30. Trimble County Conservation District Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays only. Meetings are held the second Thursday of the month, at 7 p.m.
The Tri-County Community Action Agency is seeking a driver for the Meals on Wheels Program. Drivers are needed for Wednesdays and/or Fridays for two hours each day at a rate of $8.00/hour. Please contact Shirley Young at 255-7514.
