Taxed too much

-A A +A

Letter to the Editor

Editor:
If the Trimble County High School needs so many repairs, then why didn’t they do the repairs instead of building big expensive fields? Seems like repairing the building would be more important.
As Rick Rand pointed out, there is no guarantee that the state will give up any matching funds. If they do not, then we property owners are saddled with additional taxes for the next 20 years.
Presently over 60 percent of our property tax is school tax, plus we have school tax on personal property, our phone bills and our electric bills. Enough!
