Milton City Commission

By Jacob Blair

The Milton City Commission had the first reading of an ordinance governing the establishment of RV parks during its monthly meeting Thursday.

The previous ordinance, which restricts RV parks to the north side of KY 36, High Street and Coopers Bottom Road, was passed by the commission in 2005. Commissioner Lynn Comeaux shared concerns she had with amending the ordinance.

“Why in 2005 was it determined that it was for the health and safety of the citizens and 2018 we’re not concerned about the health and safety of our citizens?” Comeaux said.
