Resident faces 97 charges after dead horses found on Trimble County farm

A 33-year-old Bedford woman was arrested Thursday after the remains of 15 dead horses and several dead rabbits were found on her farm on Perkinson Lane in Trimble County.
Animal control officers Dan Flinkfelt and Russell Spaulding from the Trimble-Henry Animal Control unit acted on a search warrant on Wednesday night, Feb. 1. With the assistance of Ellie Troutman and her team at Windy Meadows Equestrian Centers in Oldham County (see accompanying story), they managed to rescue 13 malnourished horses and five rabbits from the farm.
