Thursday, Oct. 4

POUND: Sweat, sculpt and rock with POUND, the fastest growing group fitness phenomenon inspired by the infectious, energizing fun of drumming. POUND is a full body cardio jam session and you can attend this class every week at the Library for free. The class will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the library meeting room. All levels of fitness welcome.

Dog show: Bring a chair and prepare to be entertained by high-flying Frisbee dogs. The event will take place at 1 p.m. and again at 4 p.m. at the Trimble County Park. The event is free and open to the public. Don’t miss this fun for the whole family.

Saturday, Oct. 6

Ghost hunt: Explore the Bedford Cemetery with Ghost Hunt Weekends crewmember Jeff Matt and the All-American Paranormal team. Learn about the various types of paranormal activity and the methods used to detect and document them. Participate in an actual investigation. The event is free and open to the public, ages 12 and up. Participants are encouraged to bring a chair and flashlight. The group will meet at 8 p.m. at the library and walk over to the cemetery.

Monday, Oct. 8

Yoga: Take time to quiet your mind and gently strengthen your body with yoga. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat. If you don’t have a mat, borrow one from the library ours. The class is free and meets at 6 p.m. in the library meeting room. This session will be a video class.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

Plan While You Can: Prepare To Care - Many families do not want to talk or think about future care decisions. It is important to talk responsibility to protect yourself and those around you by talking about and putting together a caregiving plan for the future. A plan can increase control, reduce stress and ease financial burden. The free class will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Trimble County Public Library.

Beginning Sign: Learn how to communicate with basic sign language. Every Tuesday evening in September and October, Jackie Wade and Lydia Cowen will teach students the sign alphabet, basic signs and about deaf culture. This series will be helpful for everyone in community and is open to ages 10 and up. The fun, beginner class will take place at 7 p.m. in the library meeting room.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

Story Hour: Story Hour is an opportunity for parents, grandparents and caregivers to introduce their 2- to 5-year-old children to reading and language in a fun way. We will explore stories, sing familiar songs, and engage in activities to encourage a lifelong love of reading and learning. These 45-minute programs are designed to promote language and listening skills, expand children’s imagination and arouse their curiosity about the world around them. The class meets at 10:30 a.m. in the library meeting room.

Computer class: Learn the basics of computer use. Call ahead to reserve your spot. The class meets at 1:30 p.m. in the Library meeting room.

Kid’s cooking: The Kid’s Cooking Club will provide opportunities for children to improve their food preparation skills, learn healthy nutrition practices in a fun matter, learn about food from other cultures, and build relationships with other kids who love cooking. The group will meet at 4 p.m. in the library meeting room. Call 502-255-7362 to reserve a spot. Registration is required.

Cooking The Books - Book Club: This month the group will be discussing The Wife Between Us. Read the book, cook something inspired by the book, and join us for a fun pitch-in meal and book discussion. The group meets at 6:30 p.m. in the library meeting room.
