Carrollton Police are looking for a Carrollton man they believe was involved in a shooting Monday night.

Randy Howard Jr., 21, allegedly shot Tyler Hudson, 32, also of Carrollton, in multiple areas in front of the Riverside Apartments complex at 2513 Highland Avenue, according to Chief Mike Willhoite. Hudson was taken from the scene by Carroll County EMS and airlifted to University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was treated and released on Tuesday.

Willhoite said police received a 911 call at 10:05 p.m. regarding a shooting outside the complex. Carrollton police officers and Carroll County EMS responded to the scene. Both Howard and Hudson live in the apartments. However, police are still working to establish a connection between the two individuals, the chief said.

Willhoite said he will be consulting the Commonwealth Attorney’s office Tuesday afternoon on charges.

Howard allegedly fled the scene following the shooting, and police are currently searching for him, according to Willhoite. Howard is a Caucasian male of average build and height. Willhoite said he has short, dark hair and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black pants. Anyone with information about Howard’s whereabouts is urged to call Carrollton Police at (502) 732-6621.
