  • Lady Raiders repeat as 8th...

    The Trimble County Lady Raiders captured their second consecutive 8th Region All A Classic tournament title over the weekend.

    Following on the heels of a near upset of Oldham County last Thursday, Trimble handily dispensed with Gallatin County, 25-13 and 25-15, in the opening round of the tournament played at Eminence on Saturday.

    Other first round matches saw Carroll County defeating Owen County, 25-23 and 25-10; and Eminence went the distance in two games before escaping with a win, 25-22 and 26-24, over Williamstown.

  • Trimble’s lady golfers see action

    The Trimble County Lady Raiders golf team broke into the win column Wednesday with a win over Gallatin County at Sugar Bay by a score of 213 to 261. The Lady Raiders were led once again by Hayley Baker with a strong 49. Kate Staples added a 50, Brooke Huff a 51, which included a 50 foot plus putt. Megan Turner and Sidney Gossom gave Trimble a choice of scoring 63s and a non-scoring 63 while Kaitlynn Harmon had a non-scoring 67. The girls are improving with each match and look forward to the next match on Tuesday the 21st of Aug.

  • Trimble trips Henry County

    The Trimble County Lady Raiders defeated Henry County for their fourth straight win of the young 2012 volleyball season Thursday.

    Trimble handled the Lady Wildcats 2-0, winning by scores of 25-16 and 25-14.

    “As a team we were strong in our serving for the match with 45 of 48 serving, and 18 aces,” Trimble Coach Ruth Staples said.

  • 2012 TCMS Football Raiders
  • Youth Football League underway

    The Henry and Trimble County Youth Tackle Football League kicked off their season on Saturday, August 18, with the annual Jamboree at the Trimble County Park in Bedford. Over 400 people came to see the young tackle football players make their final preparations for the regular season.

    The games are played at the Henry County Recreation Center and the Trimble County Park on Saturdays through the beginning of November.

  • Raiders fought valiantly in...

    The Trimble County High School football team started off its 2012 season more determined than ever after a disappointing loss at Berea High School, 38 - 0, on Friday, August 18.

    Prior to the game, a few Raiders felt somewhat intimidated by the physical size of the Berea players. The pre-game mood was serious and tense as Trimble prepared mentally for an uphill battle.

  • Carroll to host basketball...

    Carroll County High School boys basketball and parent group will host a co-ed “Street Ball Show Down 3 On 3 Double Elimination Basketball Tournament.” There will be two tournament events, one for up middle school-age athletes and adults and another for younger athletes.

    The first event will be Saturday, Aug. 25, with first round of game starting at 9 a.m. There will be four divisions: Division 1 – 7th and 8th grade; Division 2 – 9th grade to 18 years of age; Division 3 - 19 years of age to 35; and Division 4 - 36 years old and up.
