  • TCHS set to host ‘Jim Hurst Holiday Classic’

    Trimble County High School will host a boys’ basketball holiday invitational tournament next Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 29-30.

  • Raiders top South Oldham

    The Trimble County Raiders suffered a disappointing 64-29 night loss Friday against Oldham County but rebounded in fine style Monday night to upend South Oldham by a 65-53 score. Both were important 29th District seed games.
    Trimble had fallen to Owen County on the road earlier last week, 76-38. The Raiders were back in action last night at North Oldham, another District foe. Results of that game were not available at press time.

    “We’ve put ourselves in position now to potentially be the number one seed (in the District)!”
    Trimble Head Coach Kerrie Stewart was ecstatic Friday after her Lady Raiders accomplished what no other Trimble team had done in several years—defeat the Oldham County Lady Colonels in high school basketball. Trimble was in control of the contest from the beginning en route to a 47-34 victory.

  • Archers celebrate events

    Recently the Trimble County Archery Team attended two archery tournaments.
    The first tourney was the Bethlehem Invitational in Nelson County. Our shooters had a very successful meet, placing 4th out of 18 competing teams. Trimble’s top archer was Mark Mullins Jr., who shot a 266. It is important to note that no one on the team shot below a 210.

    On Saturday, Nov. 1, the Runnin’ Raiders headed to Maysville for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association super regional cross country meet. This is the only meet to qualify for the state race.

  • Raiders end football year with 43-0 postseason loss

    For the first time in five years, a Trimble County High School football team made its way into the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s playoffs. The Raiders finished the regular season with a 3-7 record and earned the right to play in the postseason action when they defeated divisional foe Owen County with a score of 34-6 on October 10.
