    BOYS’ TENNIS
    North Oldham defeated Trimble in boys’ tennis by three defaults on March 15. The two matches from the 1 and 2 singles were defeated as well although they played very well, according to Coach Vanita Fogle.
    In number one singles, Kenny Payton was defeated by Mitchell Zuberi by scores of 0-6, 0-6. In number two singles, Nathan Gibson was defeated by Graham Pipes, 0-6, 5-7.
    Kenny Payton defeated Cole Gerdeman 6-0 in an exhibition match.

  • Trimble track team competes in Oldham Kickoff Classic

    The Trimble County High School track team competed in the Oldham County Kickoff Classic Friday. The meet was held at Oldham County High School in Buckner.
    Individual results for Trimble’s girls are as follows:
    100 meter dash—Madison Jones, 29th, 15:55; and Kayla Jones, 43rd, 17:56.
    200 meter run—Madison Jones, 28th, 32:20.
    400 meter run—Eliza Weston, 16th, 1:14.70; and Madison Jones, 18th, 1:17.05.
    800 meter run—Eliza Weston, 19th, 3:04.83; and Shelby Papai, 21st, 3:11.47.

    Many students play a wide variety of sports throughout their educational career. In a small school district it is common to watch someone play basketball and see them again during track or football. However, TCPS also offers archery.

  • Trimble tennis teams take losses at Martha Layne Collins

    Trimble’s boys’ and girls’ tennis teams traveled to Clear Creek Park to play a doubleheader with Martha Layne Collins High School on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m., and played the Team Regional Tournament at 1:00 pm. Collins won both matches in boys’ and both matches in girls’ events, according to Vanita Fogle, girls’ coach.

    HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.—“Honestly, the outcome is not what we wanted; we wanted to advance and move on to the Elite 8.”
    With disappointment written across her face, Coach Kerrie Stewart pointed at her team’s inability to make baskets when they were needed as the difference in the game after the Trimble County Lady Raiders fell to Campbell County, 48-33, in the first round of the St. Elizabeth Healthcare KHSAA Girls’ Basketball Sweet Sixteen on Wednesday, March 9.
