  • Trimble’s Courtney is state runnerup in track

    “Our kids definitely put Trimble County track on the map this weekend!”

    Jeff Vincent, Varsity Coach of the Trimble County High School track team, bubbled after his team’s performance at the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Class 1-A state meet on the University of Louisville campus, held Friday.

    Sophomore Kelsie Courtney brought home state runnerup honors in the high jump.

    Trimble County High School’s track teams placed high in the competition at the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s Class A Region 5 Meet in Owen County last week. Trimble’s girls were Regional Runners-up while Trimble took third place overall in the boys’ meet.

  • TC girls take Carroll meet, boys 4th

    Trimble County High School’s girls’ track team took first place in last Tuesday’s All Comers Meet at Carroll County. The girls out-pointed second place Grant County by 114 points and third place Carroll County by 127 points. Trimble took fourth place in the boys’ competition. Carroll County took first place overall in the boys’ meet.

    “It was an awesome night for the Runnin’ Raiders,” Trimble Coach Jeff Vincent said. “Coming off a nice and much needed break, most of our kids really responded!”

  • Trimble tennis teams have busy week

    Forfeit costs boys at Collins High School

    On Tuesday, April 12, the Trimble County High School boys’ tennis team was defeated by Collins High School by a match score, 2-3.

    In No. 1 singles action Trimble’s Nick Kleinhenz was defeated by John Oakley, 4-6, 5-7. Trimble’s No. 2 singles player, Dylan Stethan, won against Sam Rathke, 6-1, 6-3. Trimble forfeited the number 3 singles.

    In No. 1 doubles play Trimble County’s Damon Copeland and Reese True defeated Collins’ Luke Noel and Derek Stivers, 6-0, 6-0

  • Lady Raiders Varsity Softball
  • Raiders to host Carroll County for Class A regional title

    The Trimble County Raiders will host the Carroll County Panthers in the 8th Region Class A Championship game Tuesday, April 19, at 5:30 p.m.

    Trimble advanced to the final after wins over Walton-Verona and Gallatin County. Carroll County defeated Williamstown and Owen County to get to the title game. Both teams played semifinal games on Sunday after heavy rain washed out Saturday’s action. Carroll and Owen had completed two innings of play when the storm hit.

    South Oldham defeated Trimble County 4-1 in girls’ tennis on March 28. Trimble’s No. 1 singles player Kasi Fogle defeated South Oldham’s Anna Townsend, 6-0, 6-2. No. 2 singles Kalee Cook was defeated by South Oldham’s Sarah Hawes, 1-6, 0-6. Trimble’s No. 3 singles, Cierra Harmon, was defeated by Mason Maylong, 0-6, 0-6.
