    The Trimble County Middle School track team won the conference title Thursday in New Castle during the North Central Kentucky Middle School Conference Championship. The girls’ team collected 162 points and the boys’ team earned 159 points during the meet to gain the conference titles.

  • Trimble High names new varsity football coach

    Trimble County High School Principal Michael Slider invited parents of football players to the high school Monday evening to introduce Mike Isley as the new head coach of the high school football team. After only winning four games in four seasons, change was inevitable for the high school football program and Isley is the man picked for the job.

  • Track competes at Walton-Verona

    The Trimble County High School track team competed with 27 other schools in the Walton-Verona Class of the Classics, Saturday at the Walton-Verona High School athletic complex.
    Trimble’s girls placed as follows:
    100 meter dash—Shelby Papai, 41st, 17.15; and Kayla Jones, 44th, 17.92.
    400 meter run—Shelby Papai, 34th, 1:17.88; and Eliza Weston, 37th, 1:21.85.
    1600 meter run—Eliza Weston, 27th, 6:37.70.
    Discus—Kayla Jones, 28th, 46’-07”
    Shot Put—Kayla Jones, 17th, 23’-03”

    BASEBALL
    Trimble was defeated by Atherton by a 5-1 score on March 18. Trimble defeated Frankfort 11-1 on March 22. The Raiders were defeated by Henry County, 8-1, on March 23, and fell to Williamstown by an 8-3 score on March 24.
    Trimble was in action against Carroll County on Tuesday and against Gallatin yesterday. Results were not available at press time. Trimble hosts Southwestern today at 5:30 p.m.

  • TCHS tennis action

    BOYS’ TENNIS
    North Oldham defeated Trimble in boys’ tennis by three defaults on March 15. The two matches from the 1 and 2 singles were defeated as well although they played very well, according to Coach Vanita Fogle.
    In number one singles, Kenny Payton was defeated by Mitchell Zuberi by scores of 0-6, 0-6. In number two singles, Nathan Gibson was defeated by Graham Pipes, 0-6, 5-7.
    Kenny Payton defeated Cole Gerdeman 6-0 in an exhibition match.

  • Trimble track team competes in Oldham Kickoff Classic

    The Trimble County High School track team competed in the Oldham County Kickoff Classic Friday. The meet was held at Oldham County High School in Buckner.
    Individual results for Trimble’s girls are as follows:
    100 meter dash—Madison Jones, 29th, 15:55; and Kayla Jones, 43rd, 17:56.
    200 meter run—Madison Jones, 28th, 32:20.
    400 meter run—Eliza Weston, 16th, 1:14.70; and Madison Jones, 18th, 1:17.05.
    800 meter run—Eliza Weston, 19th, 3:04.83; and Shelby Papai, 21st, 3:11.47.
