    A county-wide youth rally is being held September 7th at the Trimble County Park. There will be much music, fellowship and inspiration. Ray and Stuart Clem, Mary Ann Fisher, and the singing group Age to Age will all be performing prior to a concert and testimony from Dan Gividen. According to Doug Stark, organizer of the event, over 30 churches have been contacted throughout Trimble County, Carroll County, Henry County and Madison.

    Suzy Sachleben of Milton, Kentucky won two first place ribbons for her entries in the statewide 4-H swine judging competition at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville. Her wins were in the Yorkshire gilt senior sow category and the Yorkshire champion gilt.

  • The morning began in its usual fashion: my husband crawling out of bed to get ready for work accompanied by me, climbing over dogs, cats and crawling husbands. The Doggy Dawn Patrol charged down the Sinister Steep Stairs for their early morning potty break, nearly taking me along for the ride in the process.

  • I should have put much, much more thought into that fateful Saturday morning. I began the day full of energy and ambition; in my case, a volatile, sometimes disastrous mix. I decided that we needed bacon. Actually, I made the decision for everybody. I suppose the day was far too calm for the likes of me.
