The bi-annual Swap Meet at the Milton City Park received considerable attention as the Milton City Commission met for its regularly scheduled meeting last Thursday, May 9, 2013 in the Milton Municipal Building. The Swap Meet was held two days later during the weekend of May 11-12.

Listen to your body

Discovering your body’s wisdom comes as you begin to listen to your body and truly feel yourself. By aligning your body, you are more aware of self and your surroundings. Don’t become numb to yourself because of what you are involved in. Let go of motions that inhibited you. Avoid rushing entirely. The students at Trimble County Middle School have begun looking towards future opportunities as the end of their 8th grade school year rapidly approaches and the Carroll County Area Tech Center is an excellent place to begin. Offering a wide variety of classes with real life experiences this educational setting could be one of the most productive options for future citizens of Trimble County.

Four named Governor’s Scholars

Four outstanding Trimble County High School juniors—Olivia Nicole Cooley, McKenna Ginn, Conner Ball and Christian Apel—have received the honor to attend the Governor’s Scholars Program this summer.

Green on Dean’s List

Bellarmine University has named Pendleton resident Kassi Green to its dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester.  The dean’s list recognizes students who receive a grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.  
Green, a junior who is majoring in business administration, previously attended Trimble County High School.

Safety Tips for Lightning,...

I admit it, I’m fascinated by lightning! National Geographic has even given due credence to the awesome power of lightning in past issues. Many forest fires in the western United States are caused by lightning strikes. I enjoy watching lightning storms, that is, from the safety of a building, and even here you must take precautions.. Photographs of lightning are quite beautiful.

FRANKFORT, Ky., – At the invitation of the chief justice, Kentucky judges recently came together for a joint two-day college to focus on a variety of topics of interest to trial court and appellate judges.
The Administrative Office of the Courts hosted a Spring Judicial College for Supreme Court justices and Court of Appeals, Circuit Court and District Court judges April 23-24 in Lexington.
