With the legislature finishing its 60-day regular session Friday and Saturday, teachers from across the state were on hand to voice support for public education.
The rally forced the closure of nearly 40 school districts across the Commonwealth.
The first district to announce it would cancel class? Trimble.
Superintendent Steve Miracle said it didn’t matter what the other districts did in terms of opening, closing or sending delegates from school faculty, but that he made the decision based on what was best for Trimble’s educators.
