The Tri-County Hospital, serving the counties of Oldham, Trimble and Henry, opened Monday in LaGrange. A full-service hospital, Tri-County has ultra-modern equipment to care for any type of ailment or procedure except open heart surgery and critically ill children. Construction of the $14 million facility began in the summer of 1985. The for-profit hospital will be operated by Basic American Medical, Inc., of Indianapolis.
