Trimble County’s students will get a three-day weekend on the heels of returning from spring break as schools will be closed tomorrow, April 13.
The closure will allow teachers to attend the end of this year’s legislative session, Superintendent Steve Miracle said. It was a direct response to Gov. Matt Bevin’s vetoes of House Bill 200 and House Bill 366, the budget and revenue bills, respectively. Principals polled teachers to see if there was a large number who wanted to be in Frankfort and there was, Miracle said.
