I would personally like to thank the community for all their support to our program during the Trimble County Apple Festival. I also know there were others that came from out of town just to get one of our apple dumplings, so thank you all as well.

I also want to apologize to all of you who didn’t get one. We have run out the past two years on Sunday afternoon.

But, thanks to everyone’s support, we raised some much-needed money for our travel expenses for the upcoming season.

This letter is in response to the letter submitted to The Trimble Banner from Candice Humphrey.
Letters were mailed in March 2012 to all Milton Water and Sewer customers explaining the new rates.

Ms. Humphrey called our $50 reconnect fee outrageous. I suggest Ms. Humphrey contact Trimble County Water and Shelby Energy to get their reconnect fees. If so, she will find our reconnect fee is the lowest of the three.

Friday, August 17th was a special day in Bedford. I was so moved by our American Flag draped across Hwy 42 and all the people waiting to show their respect for Mark. Thanks so much to the EMTs, Fire Departments, and Law Enforcements for making this possible.

Quoting Jon Dunlap in time of crisis our community really comes together. Our EMTs and Fire Departments are not only a service but a family.

The definition of a volunteer is one who gives of himself for service of his own free will.
