  • Milton Fire joins Sparky’s Wish List™

    To protect lives through community-based fire-safety education, Milton Fire & Rescue invites its neighbors to join in support of Sparky’s Wish List™. Sparky’s Wish List: Partnering for Fire-Safe Communities, a project of the National Fire Protection Association, brings Milton businesses and the community together with local fire departments to fund life-saving fire safety educational materials. 

  • Thanksgiving holiday business closings

    The following businesses will be closed for Thanksgiving:

    Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Nov. 22, 23 & 24, The County Clerk and Trimble County Sheriff’s offices will be closed.

    Thursday and Friday, Nov. 22 & 23, Trimble County Circuit Clerk and PVA will be closed.

    Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Nov. 21, 22 & 23 the Judge/executive office will be closed.

    Thursday and Friday, Nov. 22 & 23, Bedford City Hall and Milton City Hall will be closed.

  • Time to prepare for winter heating season

    Frankfort, Ky.–The Kentucky State Fire Marshal is asking Kentuckians to inspect home heating appliances in preparation for the cold weather season.

  • Governor appoints Stevens to committee

    Gov. Steven Beshear has appointed Bedford resident Randy K. Stevens to the Local Distribution Fund Oversight Committee to serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2015.

    Stevens, formerly the Trimble County Judge-Executive, is executive director for the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts. He represents the interests of special districts other than school districts. The appointment replaces Russ Harper, whose term has expired.  
     

  • Judge Conrad attends event for circuit judges in Lexington

    FRANKFORT, Ky. – Circuit Court Judge Karen A. Conrad, who serves Henry, Oldham and Trimble counties, participated in the 2012 Kentucky Circuit Judges College that took place Oct. 29-31 in Lexington. The Administrative Office of the Courts provided the judicial education program for the state’s Circuit Court judges. The event included 19.25 hours of continuing education credit for the judges.

  • LIHEAP sign-ups begin Nov. 5

    Sign-ups for the Low income Heating Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)  for the winter 2012-2013 will be held beginning Monday, Nov. 5 through Dec. 14. Apply at Tri-County Community Action Agency.
    Applications will be taken daily from 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (excluding holidays. The subsidy Income Guidelines below show qualifying income(s).

  • KSP: Watch out for little goblins

    Halloween. It’s time for candy, costumes and trick-or-treating! With many festivities kicking off this weekend, Kentucky State Police wants to make sure parents review safety tips with their little ‘goblins’.

    Sgt. Rick Saint-Blancard, Spokesperson for KSP, says the agency wants the children to have a fun but safe trick or treating experience.

  • County’s trick or treat to be observed tonight. Stay Safe!

    Trimble County’s Halloween treat or trick will be observed from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012. Children up through 12 years old are allowed to dress in costume. Remember to use reflective tape and/or carry a flashlight. Motorists should be more alert at this time for children crossing the streets. Porch lights should be on to signify participation in giving treats.
