The Second Annual Party in the Park sponsored by the Milton Lions Club will be held Friday from 5-9 p.m. Featured entertainment will be Renfro Valley country star Shefton Kash and his band.

The 23rd Annual Bedford Bash will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 17th.

Entertainment gets underway at 6:30 p.m. with the Trimble County High School Band and Trimble County cheerleaders performing. Popular local band Young Country will perform starting at 8 p.m. In the event of rain the band will perform inside at the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department.

Four large shade trees were removed from the Trimble County Courthouse lawn last week on the orders of Trimble County Fiscal Court. During their July 16 meeting the county government body unanimously approved the tree removal on the recommendation of magistrate Kirby Melvin. Craig Daniels gave him a price
