  • Crabtree on Dean’s List

    Derek Steven Crabtree, a freshman from Milton, has been named to the Dean’s List at Campbellsville University.

    Campbellsville University Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Frank Cheatham announced the academic honors’ list for the spring 2011 semester on Friday.

    Students who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5-3.99 are named to the Dean’s List; there are 249 named to that list.

  • TCMS to host 6th grade academy on Aug. 2-4, register by July 15

    All incoming sixth grade students are invited to attend the Sixth Grade Academy program at Trimble County Middle School, which will be held Aug. 2-4.

    The Academy is a three-day event designed to introduce incoming sixth grade students to everyday life at TCMS. Students attending the Academy will have the opportunity to learn the expectations and procedures of TCMS while being the only students in the building as well as the only students with access to the following information prior to the first day of school:

  • Luttrell on Dean’s List

    Bluegrass Community & Technical College is proud to recognize Trimble County resident Rebecca S. Luttrell who has achieved Dean’s List honors for the 2011 Spring Semester. The college recognizes academic excellence by naming to the Dean’s List full-time students who have earned an overall semester grade point average of 3.5 or better in courses numbered 100 or above.

  • Hudson on Dean’s List

    The University of Evansville is proud to announce that Hannah Hudson of Milton has achieved the Dean’s List.

    Hudson, a Science Education major, made the Dean’s List for academic achievements during the Spring Semester 2011. To make the Dean’s List, a student at UE must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

  • Rabies clinic is June 4 at local schools

    The Phoenix Animal Clinic, in conjunction with the Trimble County Health Department Environmental Services, will be hosting a Rabies Clinic June 4 from 10 a.m. till noon at Bedford Elementary School and from 1-3 p.m. at the Milton Elementary School.

    Kentucky State Regulations require that animals be vaccinated by the age of four (4) months and re-vaccinated before the expiration of the immunization period as certified by the administering veterinarian. Any animal owner found not having an up-to-date rabies vaccination might be penalized.

  • Trimble among counties eligible for emergency loans due to flooding

    On May 4, President Barack Obama declared 14 Kentucky counties as disaster areas due to damages and losses caused by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that occurred from April 26, 2011, and continuing.

    Those counties include: Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Carter, Fleming, Gallatin, Kenton, Lawrence, Morgan, Nicholas, Oldham, Owen and Washington.
