  • Health retreat event is Sunday

    The Grand Opening of the Harmonizing Health Retreat, located at 1028 New Hope Rd., Bedford, will be held Sunday Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. until the day is done.

    Activities scheduled during the event include: Walk the Labyrinth, Drumming circle with story telling, Dance the Zodiac with Daniel Lally, crafts and art, and Doc Liston’s fun with songs of the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s. View our remodeled rental cottage.

    Week of Aug. 15-19

    Monday: Corn dog, baked beans, broccoli, carrots with dip, Madarin oranges, watermelon wedge.

    Tuesday: Taco salad in a bag, corn chips corn, lettuce, tomato, salsa, pineapple, fresh fruit.

  • Stark heads state magistrates

    Trimble County Magistrate Stephen Stark was recently sworn in as President of the Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioners Association. County Judge/Executive Randy Stevens administered the oath of office to the newly elected officials at the Annual Joint Conference of Magistrates and Commissioners and County Judge/Executives.

  • TCHS successful at FFA leadership camp

    On July 11, six local FFA members left Trimble County High School in Bedford for the Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center in  Hardinsburg, Ky.

    Cody Heveline, Ethan Merrill, Corey Cornett, Trenton Welch, Kyle Puckett and Kim Abbett had a very busy week that included waking up at six a.m. and not going to bed until nearly midnight.  

  • Volunteers needed in Trimble, region to assist children placed in foster care

    Citizen Foster Care Review Boards for Trimble, Anderson, Henry and Oldham counties are seeking volunteers to make a difference in the lives of local children in foster care. Volunteers are needed to review cases of children placed in foster care because of abuse, dependency and neglect to ensure these children are placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.

    Volunteers are not required to reside in the county where a board meets.

  • TCMS to host 6th grade academy on Aug. 2-4

    All incoming sixth grade students are invited to attend the Sixth Grade Academy program at Trimble County Middle School, which will be held Aug. 2-4.  The Academy is a three-day event designed to introduce incoming sixth grade students to everyday life at TCMS. Students attending the Academy will have the opportunity to learn the expectations and procedures of TCMS while being the only students in the building as well as the only students with access to the following information prior to the first day of school:
