Shelby Energy customers are encouraged to attend the electric cooperative’s 75th Annual Meeting on Friday, June 22, at the Henry County High School in New Castle.

Cooperatives are unique businesses organized to provide a needed product or service based on the nonprofit principal. There are no stockholders in an electric cooperative. After all expenses have been paid, any remaining money is returned to the customers as capital credits.

A 22-year-old Pendleton man was arrested after he was observed exiting a residence north of Bedford on Wednesday, May 16.

According to Trooper Brad Arterburn, Public Affairs Officer for Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg, the owner of an abandoned home on Lehue Road went to the property and found a car parked in the driveway. She called 911 and while she was on the phone a man came out of the home. The owner of the home kept her car behind his to block him in until law enforcement arrived.

Kentucky State Police investigated two personal injury accidents in the north end of Trimble County last week. KSP was assisted at the scene of both accidents by the Trimble County Emergency Medical Services, Milton Fire & Rescue and the Bedford Fire Department.

At 10:24 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy. 1492 and U.S. 421N. Police and emergency personnel arrived on the scene and found two vehicles in the roadway with patients trapped inside.
