  • Milton-Madison Bridge reduced to one lane Friday

    The Milton-Madison Bridge will be reduced to one lane on Friday, July 15th from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Engineers from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be monitoring items on the bridge that were highlighted in the 2009 in-depth inspection.

    In 2010, the Cabinet implemented an in-house two-month inspection frequency to review these locations and make sure repairs are not warranted. The goal is to keep the Milton-Madison Bridge operational during the superstructure replacement project.

  • Wise’s Landing church enjoying renewal

    Pleasant View Baptist Church, located in the Ohio River Valley at Wise’s Landing in southwest Trimble County, is alive and well.

  • Bridge progresses on multiple levels

    Construction of the temporary work platform at the Milton staging area for construction of the new Milton-Madison bridge is expected to be completed this week. Meanwhile, strengthening of the existing bridge piers continues with steel reinforcement and crack repair. Scaffolding is also being installed on the three water piers that will be retained for the new superstructure. Materials to be used in construction of temporary access ramps on both sides of the river are being delivered to the work sites.
