You can’t help but get excited when Sterling “Buddy” Sampson talks about the latest development in his career.

The former special education teacher may have been enthused when he was named assistant principal of Trimble County High School just two short months ago, but now he practically vibrates with energy when talking about his future as the school’s top administrator.

Saturday evening, July 26, around 7 p.m., two tour buses were driving back to Louisville on I-71 South after a visit to Cincinnati’s Union Terminal Museum. On the way, the second bus began leaking antifreeze and had to stop just past Exit 44 at Carrollton. The passengers were a group of physically fit senior citizens, all members of the Second Saturday Serenity Hiking Club sponsored by Unity Church of Louisville.

It is summertime, and your teens may have more free time on their hands. Most of our teens are making healthy choices this summer – like not drinking alcohol.

Unfortunately, there are many who do choose to drink. Most young people who start drinking before age 21 do so when they are about 13-14 years old. That is why parents and all adults should send a strong message that underage drinking is not OK.
