    Trimble Countians should all be pleased with the outstanding volleyball season our Lady Raiders put together this fall! The stellar 22-9 record compiled by this team of girls ranks with some of the best records ever compiled in any sport – basketball included – by some of the best teams ever fielded by good old Trimble High and Milton High schools in days of yore.

  • Community Thanksgiving a go

    The Morgan Community Center will host a Community Thanksgiving dinner from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22. The Bedford City Commission voted to allow the use of the facility for the event.

    A letter published in The Trimble Banner suggesting a community eventfor everyone who either could not afford dinner or was alone and had no one to spend the day with initiated interest the event, according to Deputy City Clerk Rita Davis.

  • Physicians host trunk-or-treat Oct. 27

    Katherine Jett, MD, pediatrics/internal medicine, of Baptist Medical Associates Campbellsburg, and her partner, Damon Gatewood, MD, family medicine, will host a free trunk-or-treat event from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at their office, 58 Citation Lane in Campbellsburg. There will be candy, crafts, prize drawings and more.

  • Fall Harvest events in Trimble County

    Saturday, Oct. 22
    Halloween Costume Party from 6-9 p.m. at Morgan Community Center. Music, games, eats and treats. Prizes for costumes so come dressed to win. $5 per person or $15 for family (4 or more) All proceeds support the Hands of Christ Food Pantry.

    Thursday, Oct. 20
    Tri-County Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors will meet at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Campbellsburg State Police Post meeting room located at 180 Citation Lane just off the I-71 exit in Campbellsburg. The public is invited to attend. Tri-County CAA provides services in Henry, Oldham and Trimble Counties.
    Depression and Bipolar Support group meets 6:30 p.m. at Mt. Byrd Church, Hwy. 421 in Milton, for more information please call (502) 415-0124, or (502) 268-5220.

  • Milton accident fatal

    Troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg responded to a fatal collision at 9:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in Trimble County.

    Investigation revealed that Patrick Moore, 27, Sulphur, was operating a motorcycle near the Lions Acres clubhouse on U.S. 421 in Milton when he failed to negotiate a curve. Moore lost control of the motorcycle resulting in impact with a nearby guardrail. Both Moore and his passenger, Catherine Nicole Straw, also 27 from Sulphur, were thrown from the motorcycle during impact.
