    Tiphanie McClellan of Woodward, OK, and Kenny Riley, Milton, were married July 29, 2011, at the home of the bride’s parents in Woodward.

    The bride is the daughter of Brent and Kitty Evans, Woodward, OK. The groom is the son of Jesse and Ruby Riley, Bedford, Ky.

    The couple resides in Milton.

    Tri-County Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors will meet at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Campbellsburg State Police Post meeting room located at 160 Citation Lane just off the I-71 exit in Campbellsburg. The Public is invited to attend. Tri-County CAA provides services in Henry, Oldham and Trimble Counties.

  • Health retreat event is Sunday

    The Grand Opening of the Harmonizing Health Retreat, located at 1028 New Hope Rd., Bedford, will be held Sunday Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. until the day is done.

    Activities scheduled during the event include: Walk the Labyrinth, Drumming circle with story telling, Dance the Zodiac with Daniel Lally, crafts and art, and Doc Liston’s fun with songs of the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s. View our remodeled rental cottage.

  • Disconnects warned

    The City of Bedford will be enforcing a 13-year-old ordinance regarding delinquint sewer accounts in the coming weeks.

    The subject arose during a special meeting on Aug. 5 for the purpose of determining ways to trim the city’s budget and/or generate revenue.

    Commissioner Frank Floyd said at the time that there were several accounts that are delinquint and continue getting further behind.

  • Milton addresses aging vehicles

    An aging fleet is forcing the Milton City Commission to consider replacing trucks used by city employees.

    Field supervisor Mark Bates told the commissioners last Thursday that the city’s salt truck/snow plow needs work. Both the oil pan and the truck’s two gas tanks are rusting off the vehicle. Additionally, the truck used by the city’s water-meter reader is in need of a new engine, which he said, would cost about $3,000.
