  • Martha Roberta Barnes, 56

    WORTHVILLE, Ky. – Martha Roberta Barnes, 56, of Worthville died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 28, at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton, Ky. with Rev. Bobby Wade officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Mrs. Barnes was born Feb. 11, 1952 in Carrollton, Ky. to the late Thelma Ruth (Boots) and Hubert Barnes. She also attended school in Carrollton. She was a homemaker.

  • Ronald D. Tingle, 50

    SANDERS, Ky. – Ronald “Ronnie” D. Tingle, 50, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008 in Carrollton, Ky.

    Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 13 at 1:00 p.m. Visiting hours will be prior to the services at11:00 a.m. until service begins at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton with the Rev. Jerry Ison officiating. Cremation was chosen by the family.

    Mr. Tingle was born May 16, 1958 to the late George H. and Anna (Beckley) Tingle in Carrollton.

    He was a farm laborer and a member of the Baptist Church.

  • Orville Jesse Skirvin, 76

    MADISON Ind. – Orville Jesse Skirvin, 76, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at his residence near Madison.

    Mr. Skirvin chose cremation; there will be no funeral services. Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Skirvin was born, Feb., 10, 1932, in Switzerland County, Ind., to the late Deward B. and Mary E. (McKinney) Skirvin.

    He was employed at the former Carrollton Furniture Factory and later worked for 28 years as a welder and weld inspector for Williamson Company in Madison.

  • Fred A. Nelson, 68

    CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. – Fred A. Nelson, 68, of Campbellsburg died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at his home.

    Funeral services were Thursday, Nov. 13, at Providence Baptist Church, 51 Louden Lane, Campbells-burg, with Brother Doug Boyd, Brother Shane Nickell and Brother Mike Huff officiating. Burial was in Campbellsburg Masonic Cemetery.

    Mr. Nelson was born Jan. 9, 1940, in Trimble County, Ky. to the late Curtis and Callie (Chilton) Nelson.

    He was a member of Providence Baptist Church for 52 years, where he served as deacon and taught Sunday school.

  • Robert Malin, 76

    CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky.  – Robert “Bob” Malin, 76, of Campbellsburg died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, Nov. 26 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, 425 North Main St., New Castle, with Rev. Earl Wayne Perry of Sligo officiating. Burial  will be in the Port Royal Cemetery.

    Mr. Malin was born May 19, 1932, in Port Royal, Ky., to the late George and Bertha (McAlister) Malin.

  • Betty J. Wallace, 65

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Betty J. (Lewellyn) Wallace, 65, of Carrollton died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Stan Reedy officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Wallace was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Worothville, Ky., to the late Eldie Lewellyn and Christine Moscoe. She was a homemaker.

  • William F. Ransdell,77

    BEDFORD, Ky. – William F. Ransdell, 77, Bedford, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, Ky.

    Funeral services are 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Bedford Baptist Church, Bedford, with Dr. Thomas Wilkes and the Revs. Carl Rucker and Randy Nation officiating. Interment will be in Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Bedford. Military Honors will be conducted at the graveside.

    Mr. Ransdell was Born Feb. 27, 1931, in Henry County to the late Charles Ecton Ransdell and Thelma Mattick Gividen.

  • Roy Less Canine Sr., 79

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Roy Less Canine Sr., 79, of Carrollton died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at his home.

    Funeral services were Monday, Nov., 24 at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton. with Rev. Howard Potter officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Mr. Canine was born June 1, 1929, in Shelbyville, Ky., to the late Ray Canine and Elizabeth Ellison.

    He graduated from Lincoln Institution in Simpsonville. He was a factory worker and had worked for the Kentucky Ladder Co. and the C&N Railroad.

  • Harold Wayne Kinman, 63

    BEDFORD, Ky. – Harold Wayne Kinman, 63, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at his home near Bedford.

    Funeral services are 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Ind., with Bishop Jeff Langford officiating. Burial will be  in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Ky.

    Mr. Kinman was born Aug. 20, 1945 in Ghent, Ky., to the late Donald and Kathryn (Fresh) Kinman Whitaker in Ghent, Ky.

    He was raised in Trimble County and was a graduate of Madison High School.

  • Ronald Bright Sr., 65

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Ronald Bright Sr., 65, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at his home in Carrollton.

    No funeral services are planned.  Mr. Bright requested his body be cremated. Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Bright was born July 6, 1945, in Ponca City, Kay County, Okla., to the late James Oliver Bright and Nina (Cook) Bright Burgert.

    He was retired  from Boilermakers Union Local No. 105 in Chillicothe, Oh.
