    MADISON, Ind. – The Rev. A. Franklyn Brooks Jr., 70, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.

    Funeral services were Tuesday, March 10, at First Christian Church, 512 W. Main St., Madison, with The Rev. Gregory A. Russell officiating.

    Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, was in charge of arrangements.

    The Rev. Brooks was born Aug. 3, 1938, in Charleston, S.C., to the late Arnold Franklyn Sr. and Pearl Marie Hiers Brooks.

    BEDFORD, Ky. – Maureen “Mockey” Luhn, 80, of Bedford died Monday, March 9, 2009, at her residence.

    A memorial service is set for 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, march 11, at s will be tonight, Wednesday, March 11, at 8 p.m. at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, with the Rev. Carl Rucker officiating. Visitation is 5 p.m. the time of the service.

    Mrs. Luhn was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Trimble County to the late James W. and Frances Williamson Egerton. She married Richard H. Luhn and was a homemaker.

    GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Glen Dews, 58, of Georgetown died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at his residence.

    Funeral services were Tuesday, March 10, at McDonald and New Funeral Home, 202 N. Main St., Owenton, Ky. with the Rev. Dave Wotier officiating.

    Mr. Dews was born May 16, 1950, in Georgetown to the late John and Beulah Martin Dews.

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Anna C. Wheeler, 82, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton.

    Services are 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Steven Scherer officiating. Burial will be in Ghent Masonic Cemetery, Ghent, Ky. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Wheeler was born Aug. 4, 1926, in Ghent to the late Wile A. and Dorothy Turner Mefford. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

  • Anna Lee Morgan, 77

    PENDLETON, Ky. – Anna Lee Morgan, 77, of Pendleton died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at Baptist Hospital Northeast in La Grange, Ky.

    Services were Saturday, Feb. 28, at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford, with the Rev. Earl Wayne Perry officiating. Interment followed at Sligo Cemetery, Sligo, Ky.

    Mrs. Morgan was born Nov. 26, 1931, in Pendleton to the late James Wesley and Margaret Ann Stark Morgan. She was their last surviving child.

    Anna was a caretaker for her sister and brother, who, along with her parents, preceded her in death.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Lida M. Pollitt, 95, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Golden Living Center Camelot, in Louisville.

    Services are 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 4, at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford, with Brother Jeff Gayheart officiating. Interment will follow at Bedford Cemetery, Bedford. Friends may call after 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Pollitt was born May 29, 1913, in Trimble County to the late Tom and Stella Black Taylor.

    BEDFORD, Ky. – Karen Lynn Eaglin, 47,  died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Ind., with Myron Eaglin officiating.

    Ms. Eaglin was born Oct. 16, 1961, in Jefferson County, Ind., to Wade M. Eaglin and the late Carolyn Lee Chilton Eaglin Berry.

  • Donna Sue Feagan, 50

    WESTPORT, Ky. – Donna Sue Feagan 50, of Westport died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at her home.

    Services were Tuesday, March 3, at Arch L. Heady Radcliffe Funeral Home, La Grange, Ky., with Nancy Burrows officiating. Burial was in Valley of Rest Cemetery.

    Mrs. Feagan was a teacher at Henry County Middle School.

    Survivors include her husband, Paul Feagan; a daughter, Sara (James) Sipes; two brothers, Mike (Elaine) Jett and Tony Jett; three sisters, Phyllis (Pete) McIlvoy, Diane Escobedo and Pat Baker; and three grandchildren.

  • Meredith Harmon Wood, 91

    BEDFORD, Ky. – Merdith Harmon Wood, 91, of Bedford died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at Signature Health Care Center in Bedford.

    Services were Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, with the. Rev. Paul Limato officiating. Interment followed at the Bedford Cemetery, Bedford.

    Mrs. Wood was born April 5, 1917, in Trimble County to the late Byron D. and Elizabeth Moore Harmon.

    She was a lifetime member of the Poplar Ridge Baptist Church. She retired from Brunswick as an inspector.
