  • Jesse James Morrison, 67

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Jesse James Morrison, 67, of  Carrollton died of cancer Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at the Gallatin County Health Center.

    Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 31, at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton, with the Rev. Bill Waugh officiating. Burial was in Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

    Mr. Morrison was born on March 10, 1941, in Trimble County to the late Frank and Gertrude Huffman Morrison.

    MADISON,  Ind. – Flossie “Flo” Marie Perkins Geyman, 68, of Madison died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at her home.

    A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 413 E. Second St., Madison, with the Rev. John A. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Madison.

    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 4, with the Rosary being said at 7 p.m.; visitation continues Thursday from 9- 10:20 a.m. at Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison.

    BEDFORD, Ky. – Vonda Mae Fox, 49, of Bedford died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Ind.

    Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 31, at Ransdell Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. Thomas Wilkes officiating. Burial was in the Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

    Mrs. Fox was born July 27, 1959, in Crestwood, Ky., to Adolph Andy Sr. and Alma P. Durner Eldridge.

    She enjoyed cooking.

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Myrle Glenn Welch, 87, of Carrollton died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at his home.

    Funeral services were Monday, Feb 2, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Phillip Bruce officiating. Burial was in the Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

    Mr. Welch was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Trimble County to the late Shirley Edgar and Bessie Giddens Welch.

    He was a member of the Union Grove Christian Church.

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Chauncey M. Walker, 80, of Carrollton died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at his home.

    Cremation was chosen by the family. A memorial will be held at a later date.

    Mr. Walker was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late Randolph M. and Ethel N. Billings Walker.

    He was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration.

    He attended Carrollton Christian Church.

    Survivors include his wife, Donna Parrish of Carrollton.

    Paul E. “Woody” Wood, 73, Hanover, Ind., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

    Born May 9, 1935 in Carrollton, he was the son of Richard Sydney and Mary Elizabeth Wood.

  • Jacoby Clyde “Kobe” Johnson, 19

    Jacoby Clyde “Kobe” Johnson, 19, Madison, Ind., died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 in a multiple vehicle accident near Chelsea.

    Born Sept. 26, 1989 in Madison, he was the son of Timothy Clyde and Tonya Arlene Hooker Johnson.

    He resided nearly all of his life in Madison and was a graduate of Madison consolidated High School. He loved listening to music and hanging out with his friends and family. He was of the Baptist Faith and had been baptized at Calvary Baptist Church.

  • Billy Joe Plew, 68

    WORTHVILLE, Ky. – Billy Joe Plew, 68, of Worthville died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at St. Catherine Regional Hospital in Charlestown, Ind.

    Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Howard Wade officiating. Burial will be in Worthville Cemetery in Worthville.

    Mr. Plew was born July 2, 1940, in Carroll County, Ky., to the late Frankie and Dorothy Brown Plew. He married Saundra Willitt on Aug. 29, 1964.

  • Joe Lee Allen, 62

    Joe Lee Allen, 62, Bedford, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange.

    Born February 15, 1946 in Trimble County, he was the son of Hattie (Leatherman) Cummins.

    He had worked as an attendant at Sunoco Gas Station in Milton and also worked at Meese in Madison, Ind. He enjoyed old cars, and doing crossword puzzles.

    Survivors include several cousins and other extended family.

    His mother and stepfather, Hattie and Denny Cummins, preceded him in death.
