  • Gladys Bolden Bond

    Gladys Bolden Bond of Bedford, Ky., formerly of Vevay, Ind., died Sunday Dec. 23, 2012, in Bedford.

    Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 28, at Haskell and Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay, Ind., with The Rev. Mike Sawalich and the Rev. Peter Phillips officiating. Interment was at Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Ind.

    Mrs. Bond was born in Florence, Ind., to Vernon E. and Leona M. Vashing Bolden. She was raised in Markland, Ind., and Florence, Ind.

  • Lucy Mae Cole Webster, 78

    Lucy Mae Cole Webster, 78, of Hanover, Ind., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Evansville, Ind. She was born Feb. 7, 1934, in College Hill, Ky., to Jerry and Eura Elise Clouse Cole.

  • Noble Eugene Adams, 64

    Noble Eugene Adams, 64, of Bedford, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Louisville, Ky.
    He was born Oct.20, 1948, in Carroll County, Ky., to Webb Sutter Adams and Isabell Brierly Adams.

  • Lavelle Rowlett Carlisle, 86

    Lavelle Rowlett Carlisle, 86, of Dupont and formerly of Trimble and Carroll counties, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at her home near Dupont.


    Funeral services were Saturday, December 22, at the Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison. Interment followed in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont.

    Survivors include two sons, Gerald D. “Jerry” Carlisle of Commiskey, Ind., and Lee Carlisle of Dupont; three granddaughters: six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

  • Levi Clifford Pettit, 37

    Levi Clifford Pettit, 37, of Milton died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

    The family chose cremation and no funeral services have been planned, according to his wishes.

    Mr. Pettit was born Aug. 16, 1975, in Cleburne, Texas, to Dan Pettit and Vickie Witt Sampson.
    He formerly worked for George Turner at Turner Heating and Cooling in Milton and most recently worked for Arvin Sango in Madison.

  • Mary Catherine McCubbins, 88

    Mary Catherine McCubbins, 88, of Louisville died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012. Funeral services were Friday, Dec 21, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Louisville. Burial was in the Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

    Mrs. McCubbins was a graduate of Fern Creek High School. A Catholic, she was formerly employed by Walgreens serving at their cafeteria.

    Survivors include her son, Ronnie (Joyce) Bailey; grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Corey and Kayla Bailey, and Jamie Via; many “favorite” nieces and nephews.

  • Andy Johnson Ramsey, 79

    Andy Johnson Ramsey, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.  Andy was born on November 28, 1933 in Sneedville, Tenn. to the late Roy Ramsey and Hazel Rice Ramsey.

    Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Larry Ramsey, Pendleton, Ky.; David Ramsey, Madison, Ind.; Carolyn Colbert, Georgetown, Ind; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Trent and Mary Nell Greer both of Tazewell, TN.

    Andy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers: Lester and Bill Ramsey.

    Andy Johnson Ramsey, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.  Andy was born on November 28, 1933 in Sneedville, Tenn. to the late Roy Ramsey and Hazel Rice Ramsey. 

    Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Larry Ramsey, Pendleton, KY; David Ramsey, Madison, Ind.; Carolyn Colbert, Georgetown, Ind; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Trent and Mary Nell Greer both of Tazewell, TN.

     

    Andy was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, and two brothers: Lester and Bill Ramsey.

     

  • Linda Carol Moore, 51

    Linda Carol “Linda Lou” Moore, age 51 of Madison, Ind., died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 3:24 p.m. at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.

    Linda was born on Nov. 6, 1961 in LaGrange the daughter of the late Billy Moore and Martha Jennings Moore Horton.

  • Garnett Dale Lawson, 56

    Garnett Dale Lawson, 56,  Bedford, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was born August 9, 1956 to the late Garnet Augustus and Mary Andrews Lawson in Anchorage, Alaska.

    Survivors include one son Michael Dale Lawson, Louisville; his sister Karen A. Pipes, Madison, Ind.; and two nephews.

    Garnett was preceded in death by his parents and one brother John L. Lawson.

    Cremation was chosen by the family. Burial will be private.
