  • Mary M. Ricketts, 93

    Mary M. Ricketts, age 93 of Carrollton, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Green valley Health and Rehab.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Fannie Lee (Jones) Hardin

    Survivors include her Husband, Willie B. Ricketts, Carrollton; two daughters, Olivene Ogburn Carrollton, Linda (Dale Burchfield) Graham, Weatherford, Texas; one son, Lyndon (Thelma) Ricketts, Turners Station; one sister, one brother; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

  • Benjamin Ray Tharp, 55

    Benjamin Ray Tharp, 55 of Bedford, died Tuesday, March, 13, 2012, at the Robley Rex Veterans Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    A celebration of life took place on March17 at Faith Community Baptist Church in Carrollton, Ky.

    He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Tharp, son Todd Tharp both of Bedford, Ky.; and his mother Joyce Sanders of Carrollton.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin E. Tharp; and step-father, Kenneth Teague Sanders.

  • Naomi Louise Wright, 87

    Naomi Louise Wright 87, Bedford, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Signature Healthcare in Bedford.
    Born May 31, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George Walter Robertson and Mattie Elizabeth Vest Robertson.  

    Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Wright, Bedford; four children, Joyce Dunn, Bedford, Carol McCane, Milton, Ricky Hutchason, Bedford, Tina Davis, Milton; two sisters; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

    Naomi Louise Wright 87, Bedford, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Signature Healthcare in Bedford.
    Born May 31, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George Walter Robertson and Mattie Elizabeth Vest Robertson.

  • Clifford J. Prosek, 79

    Clifford J. Prosek, 79, Bedford, died Sunday, March 4, 2012.

    Survivors include his wife, Betty Daubner Prosek; children, Dan Prosek, Jerry Prosek, Cindy Morrison, Chris Prosek and Clifford M. Prosek; and three grandchildren.

    Cremation was chosen.

  • George Donald Kemp, 72

    George Donald Kemp 72, of Bedford, died on March 2, 2012 at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange.

    He was born on March 7, 1940 to the late Clarence and Louise Penn Kemp in Trimble County.

    Survivors include two sisters, Agnes Elkins, LaGrange, and Martha Louden, Columbus, Ind.
    His parents and one brother preceded him in death.

    Services were Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford Kentucky with Reverend Jim Bingham officiating the service.
    Burial was Bedford Cemetery.
     

  • Keith L. Harmon, 89

    Keith L. Harmon 89, Bedford, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012.

    He was born on June 20, 1922 in Bedford, to the late Byron D. and Elizabeth Moore Harmon.

    Survivors include four daughters, Mary Harmon, Bedford, Teresa Scott, Princeton, Cynthia Rawlins, Hopkinsville, Gay Harmon, Louisville, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

  • LaVerne Burke Wright, 79

    LaVerne “Topsy” Burke Wright, 79, Dayton, Ohio, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 at the Walnut Creek Nursing Center in Kettering, Ohio.

    Born May 14, 1932 in Milton, she was the daughter of Brownlo and Lucinda Burke, who preceded her in death. Her husband, Victor Wright, also preceded her in death.

  • Marjorie Webster, 80

    Marjorie Webster, 80, Bedford, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012.

    Born Oct. 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ossie and Rella Baker.

    Survivors include three sons, Mike Webster, Kenny Webster, Don Webster; two daughters, Barbara Scott, Pam Hunt; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and other relatives.

    Services were Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at Corn Creek Baptist Church in Milton with Pastor David Eisenmenger officiating. Burial was at Moffett Cemetery in Milton.

  • Barbara Ann Webb, 75

    Barbara Ann Webb, 75, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.

    She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Maurice D. Webb; sons, Richard B. Derry, Terrill L. Derry and David D. Webb; a brother, Wallace Thornhill; a sister, Beverly Thornhill; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at Prewitt Funeral Home 425 North Main Street, New Castle, with burial in Campbellsburg Masonic Cemetery, Campbellsburg.
