  • John William Calvert, 70

    John William Calvert, 70, Bedford, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Ind.

    Born Dec. 6, 1941 in Louisville, he was the son of John Wister and Almyra Calvert who preceded him in death.

    Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Calvert; two daughters, Tina Snyder, Madison, Ind., and Pam Rhodes, Louisville; five sisters, two brothers, two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

  • Denny E. Long, 66

    Denny E. Long, 66, Milton, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at Signature Healthcare in Trimble County.  

    Visitation Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 from 3-9 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 after 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Mt. Byrd Christian Church.

    Services will be at 1 p.m. at Mt. Byrd Christian Church on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012.

  • Bonita Joyce Wingham Tittle, 77

    Bonita “Bonnie” “Gams” Joyce Wingham Tittle, 77, Milton, Ky., died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at her home.

    Born May 27, 1934 in Milton, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Bradford and Georgia Mahoney Wingham.

    Survivors include her husband, Marvin Earl “Paps” Tittle, Milton, Kentucky; two sons, Barry Allen, Hamilton, Mont., Jack Allen, Vallejo, Calif.; two daughters, Joyce Corda, Chesapeake, Va, Laura Hamilton, Milton, Ky.; brother, B.G. Wingham, Milton, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

  • Danny Leo ‘Dan’ Kreeger, 81

    Danny Leo “Dan” Kreeger, 81, Hanover, Ind. died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at The King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison. He was born Jan. 11, 1931 in Jefferson County, Ind. He was the son of the late Milton R. Kreeger and Beulah Corman Kreeger Muster.

    Survivors include his wife, Thelma Louise Goins Kreeger, Hanover, Ind; two daughters: Sheila Kreeger Chatham, Trimble County, Ky., Nancy Kay Kreeger Burress Pyles, Hanover, Ind.; his mother, Helen Hicks Kreeger of Hanover, Ind.; a sister, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

  • Minnie Lucille Tharp, 95

    Minnie Lucille Tharp, 95, Turners Station, Ky., died Saturday, Feb. 11 at the home of her son Roger and daughter-in-law Barbara where she had been living for the past year under their care.
    Lucille was born near Turners Station and Campbellsburg, KY to the late Abe and Belle Chilton.

    Survivors include her two children, Charlotte Ready and Roger Tharp, both of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

    Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at Campbellsburg First Baptist Church.

  • Allen Wayne Smith, 63

    Allen Wayne Smith, 63 of Bedford, Ky., died in Trimble County on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012.

    He was born on June 1, 1948 in Louisville, Ky. to the late James L. Smith and Ann Simpson Smith.

    Survivors include his wife Della Louise Ashbrook Smith; daughter, Kimberly Tingle, Bedford, Ky.; two sons, James Allen Smith, Milton, Ky., and Owen D. Smith, Bedford, Ky.; two grandchildren.

  • William A. Proulx, 70

    William A. “Bill”/”Billy” Proulx, 70, Bedford, Ky, died Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Baptist Northeast Hospital. He was a native of Coventry, R.I. He lived in Trimble County since 1997, where he and his wife owned and operated several small businesses.

  • Thomas Edward Jett, 87

    Thomas Edward Jett, 87, of Hanover, Ind. died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Thornton Terrace in Hanover, Ind. He was born Dec. 15, 1924 to the late Chester Thomas and Nannie Mae Davis Jett in Carroll County, Kentucky.

    Survivors include his wife of 64 years Delphine Craig Jett, his children; Donald Wayne Tomlinson, Bedford, Ky., Nancy Carol Morgan, Hanover, Ind, Brenda Sue Lynch, Indianapolis, Ind and Pat Elaine Cooper; six grandsons; eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

    Service was Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at Ransdell Funeral Home.

  • David Bradley Craig, 87

    David Bradley Craig, 87, Bedford, Ky., died February 6, 2012 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana.

    He was born Oct. 4, 1924 to the late Elliott Surber and Cora Mable Wise Craig.

    Survivors include a son Larry David Craig; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews.

    Services were held Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford Kentucky. Pastor Charlot Nash officiated the service. Burial was in the Bedford Cemetery, Bedford, Kentucky
