  • Steven C. ‘Rooster’ Wheeler, 56

    Steven C. “Rooster” Wheeler, 56, Milton, died Friday, April 27, 2012 at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Ind.

    Born Aug. 9, 1955 in Madison, he was the son of the late William D. “Pickle” Wheeler and Anna C. (Mefford) Wheeler.

    Survivors are his wife Bonnie J. Easton Wheeler; two brothers, Sonny Wheeler and Danny Wheeler, Carrollton.

    Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2012 from 3-6 p.m. at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. The family chose cremation.

  • Willie B. Ricketts, 96

    Willie B. Ricketts, age 96 of Carrollton, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Green Valley Health & Rehab in Carrollton. He was the son of the late Elias and Virginia (O’Nan) Ricketts.

    Survivors include two daughters,  Olivene Ogburn, Carrollton, Linda Graham, Weatherford, TX; one son, Lyndon Ricketts, Turners Station; sisters, Marjorie Wallace, Louisville, Anna Mae Thompson, Shelbyville, Agnes Tingle, Bedford; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.

  • Thelma Mae Hensley Jones, 68

    Thelma Mae Hensley Jones, 68, Crestwood, Ky., died April 27, 2012 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville.

    She was born on November 22, 1943 to the late John C. Hensley and Mayve Meredith Hensley.

    Survivors include her husband, Gene Jones; three children, Ricky Jones, Crestwood, Michael L. Jones, Jeffersonville, Ind; Sharon K. Gillock, Prospect, Ky.; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; one brother, William B. Hensley, Leitchfield, Ky.; two sisters, Janice Asbell, LaGrange, and Vena Powell, South Carolina.

  • Thelma L. Gibson, 91

    Thelma L. Gibson, 91, Pendleton, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at The Richwood in La Grange.

    Born Saturday, Feb. 5, 1921 in Trimble County, Ky, she was the daughter of the late John Wid Morgan and Eva L. Wheeler Morgan.

    Survivors include a daughter, Sondra Ferguson, Lexington.
     
    A funeral service was conducted on Saturday, April 21, 2012 with Reverend Darrell Wilson officiating. Burial was in Bedford Cemetery.

    Hurley Cleston “Clessy” Craig, 79, Bedford, Kentucky died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky.

    He was born May 5, 1932 in Bedford to the late Hurley B. Craig and Marjorie L. Kendall Craig.

    A graveside service in planned for 11 a.m. at Campbellsburg Cemetery in Campbellsburg with the Reverend Shawn Golden officiating.

    Mary Ann Miller Toombs, 73, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at her residence in Bedford. She was born on November 22, 1938 to the late Willie D. and Anna Belle McDowell Miller in Trimble County.

    Survivors include her children, Michael Toombs, Humble, TX, DeAnna Lewis, Melisa Hayden and Blandon Toombs, all of Carrollton; her brothers, Charles Miller and Ruby Miller; her sisters, Willana Wilson, Willena Fields, Elizabeth Skirvin, Hazel Tandy and six grandchildren.

  • William Joseph Kidwell, 75

    William “Bill” Joseph Kidwell, 75, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at his residence in Trimble County. He was born on March 19, 1937 to the late Henry and Sylvia Yourall Kidwell in Louisville.

    Survivors include his wife Cynthia Ann Lambert Kidwell; two daughters, Shelley Jo McClure, Pendleton, and Jody Ann Twing, Fallon, NV, one son James Andrew Huff, Bedford, and six grandchildren. His parents, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

    Graveside service were conducted Thursday, April 5, at Bedford Cemetery.

  • Frank J. Drnak, 95

    Frank J. Drnak, 95, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville. He was born on February 17, 1917 to the late Michael and Anna Krupa Drnak in Cleveland Ohio.

    Survivors include one son, Ray Drnak, New Jersey; two daughters, Bobbie Jane Drnak, Revenna, Ohio and Marcia Kish, Bedford.
    His parents, wife Josephine Skarajnar Drnak, two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter preceded him in death.

    Service was Friday, April 6, 2012 at Ransdell Funeral with the Rev. Larry Franklin officiating.
