    NEW LIBERTY, Ky. –Robert “Bobby” Robbins, 61, of New Liberty, Ky., died at his home Tuesday, July 29, 2008.

    As of press time Tuesday, funeral arrangements were pending at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton.

  • Robert Cyrus Robbins, 61

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Robert “Bobby” Cyrus Robbins, 61, of Carrollton died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at his home.

    Funeral services were Friday, Aug.1, at Family Worship Center, 2520 State Hwy. 227, Carrollton, with the Rev. David Wotier officiating. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery, Owenton, Ky.

    Mr. Robbins was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Carrollton to  the late Carl and Scottie Ball Robbins. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 134,  Carrollton.

  • Betty Lucas Wright, 79

    MADISON, Ind. – Betty Lucas Wright, 79, of Madison died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at Signature Health Care, Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, with Pastor Chuck Lynch officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, north of Madison.

    Mrs. Wright was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Carroll County, Ky., to the late Hubert R. Sr. and Dale Byron Burton Lucas.

  • William Oscar Meeks, 71

    MADISON, Ind. – William Oscar “Bill” Meeks, 71, of Madison died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, with Pastor Mike Barnes officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery, Moorefield, Ind.

    Mr. Meeks was born Jan. 11, 1937, in Henry County Ky., to the late George Ebb and Jesse Warren Meeks. He married the former Barbara Althoff on June 6, 1958.

  • Margaret Neola Hoops, 88

    Margaret Neola Hoops, 88, of Bedford, died Thursday, July 24, 2008.

    She was formerly of Goshen , Ky. and a native of Trimble County.

    She was a housekeeper at the former Melrose Inn and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

    Survivors include three nieces, Patricia (Gary) Corley, Debra (Brad) Hargrove, and Sheila Rowlett; three nephews, Nelson Hoops, Wallace Hoops, Ronnie (Teresa) Jones and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

  • Morris Carroll Noe, 66

    TURNERS STATION, Ky. – Morris Carroll Noe, 66, of Turners Station died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at his home.

    Funeral services were Monday, July 28, at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton, Ky,, with the Rev. Michael Duncan officiating. Burial was in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery, Ghent, Ky.

    Mr. Noe was born July 31, 1941, in Turners Station.

    He was a landscaper for the English Christian Church, English, Ky.

  • Eugene R. Moore, 75

    EDINGEN, Germany – Eugene R. Moore, 75, died Friday, June 27, 2008, in Thorax Clinic, Heidelberg, Germany.

    A gathering of family and friends will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, Ky., with Brother Bill Watson, pastor of the Owenton, Ky., First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Gallatin County, with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #41 of Carrollton and the U.S. Army Branch from Fort Knox, Ky.

  • Janice Aldridge Jones, 69

    HANOVER, Ind. – Janice Arlene Aldridge Jones, 69, of Hanover died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in  Madison, Ind.

    Funeral services are 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, July 30, at the Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, with the Rev. Michael Cammack officiating. Burial will be in the Kent Cemetery near Kent, Ind.

  • Frank A. Zink, 80, of Louisville, Ky.

    Frank A. Zink, 80, of Louisville, Ky., died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at his home.

    He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School in 1946 and served in Germany, during the Korean War. He was the founder of Business Office Supply Company, which opened in 1966.

    Survivors include his wife, Lucille, whom he married Nov. 27, 1952; seven children, Stephen, Joeseph (Wang Jing), Barbara Cohen (Jerry), Tricia Zink Lush (Dudley), Daniel (Kitty), Mary, Thomas (Annie); eight grandchildren; two sisters, Millie Renish and Angela Zink; and a brother, Robert Zink.

  • Jack C. Miles, 74

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Jack “J.C.” Miles, 74, of Carrollton died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Hospice Unit, Edgewood, Ky.

    Funeral services were Saturday, July 26, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Chris White officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Carrollton.

    Mr. Miles was born on Feb. 2, 1934 in Gallatin, Ky., to the late Grover C. and Christine (Crafton) Miles.
