    SHELBYVILLE, KY. – Bobby W. Ashby, 81, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at his residence.

    Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 19, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home, 1185 W. Main St., Shelbyville, with the Rev. Marshall Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Bagdad Cemetery, Bagdad, Ky.

    Mr. Ashby was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Waddy, Ky., to the late William Len Ashby and Zula Johnson Ashby Burnett.

  • James William Robbins, 78

    MADISON, Ind. – James William “Bill” Robbins, 78, of Madison died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services were Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Morgan and Nay Funeral Center, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, with Bro. George A. Severn officiating. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison.

    Mr. Robbins was born, Jan. 8, 1930, in Madison to the late William S. and Ruth Marie (Richards) Robbins.

  • Ruby Katherine Leach, 87

    CARROLLTON, Ky. -  Ruby Katherine (Simmons) Leach, 87, of Carrollton died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton.

    Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 13, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Samuel Grathler officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Mrs. Leach was born Feb. 14, 1921, in Carroll County to the late Hobert and Grace (O’Neal) Simmons.

    She was a housewife and a member of the First Apostolic Church of Carrollton.

  • Reva S. Burrows, 95

    SULPHUR, Ky. – Reva S. Burrows, 95, of Sulphur died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Baptist Hospital Northeast in La Grange, Ky.

    Mrs. Burrows was born May 22, 1913, in Trimble County to the late Joseph E. Johnson Spillman and Minnie Wright Spillman. She married Hubert "Shug" Burrows on Jan. 3, 1932.

    She was an active lifetime member of Sligo Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school and was active in the WMU. She enjoyed taking care of her family, fishing and gardening, and was known for her knitting and crocheting.

  • Carolyn Jan Carson Frazier, 60

    PORT ROYAL, Ky. – Carolyn Jan Carson Frazier, 60, Port Royal died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 at Baptist Hospital Northeast.

    She was the daughter of the late Howard and Viola Rogers Carson.

  • Delores Hanlow Aldridge, 71

    SANDERS, KY. – Delores “Sug” Hanlow Aldridge, 71 of Sanders died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at her residence.

    Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton, Ky., with the Rev. Joel Santos officiating. Burial was in Worthville Cemetery.

    Mrs. Aldridge was born March 22, 1937, in Carroll County to the late Bennie and Maggie Allen Harlow.

    She was a homemaker and a member of the Worthville Christian Church. She  attended school in Carroll County.

    PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Earl F. Graves, 83, of Punta Gorda died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda.

    Mr. Graves was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Milton, to the late Clarence and Ollie Perry Graves.

  • Dorothy Cundiff, 96

    CRESTWOOD, Ky. – Dorothy Cundiff, 96, of Crestwood, formerly of Carroll County, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home.

    Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 15, at Stoess Funeral Home, Crestwood. Burial was in Floydsburg Cemetery.

    Mrs. Cundiff was born on Sept. 28, 1911, to the late Alva and Edith Bishop Dawkins of Worthville, Ky.

  • Terry Lee Schaefer, 59

    CARROLLTON, KY.- Terry Lee Schaefer, 59, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008. at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton.

    Arrangements were pending by press time Tuesday; Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave,, Carrollton is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Schaefer was born Jan. 2, 1949, in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ky., to the late Robert and Evelyn Schaefer.

    He was a graduate of Wright State University, where he earned a degree in business management.

  • Rodney Dale Cain, 47

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rodney Dale Cain, 47, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at his home in Louisville.

    Mr. Cain was born Nov. 23, 1960, in Louisville to the late Edward F. and Ailene Marlette Cain.

    Survivors include four sisters, Linda Blume of Louisville, Patricia Guenther (Charlie) Logsdon and Penny Medley, both of Brandenburg, and Sarah Hensley of Anderson, Ind.; and two brothers, Michael Cain and Darryl Cain, both of Louisville.
