    Richard “Leon” Perry, 68, Madison, Indiana died at 1:50 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2012 at University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.

    Born October 12, 1943 in Trimble County, Kentucky, he was the son of Leslie Leroy & Anna Rose Pyles Perry,

  • Willa Mae Ward, 94

    Willa Mae Ward, 94, Milton, Ky died Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Hanover Health and Rehab Center.

    Born in Trimble County on Sept. 19, 1917, she was the daughter of Ben and Hallie Kinnett Underwood.

    Survivors include a niece, Edna Hatton and several other relatives.

    Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012.

    Services will be today, Wednesday Aug. 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton with burial in Moffett Cemetery.

  • Charles ‘Buster’ Huff, 67

    Charles “Buster” Huff, Sr. 67, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday August 19, 2012 in Simpsonville.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Adell Bolin Huff and granddaughter, Victoria Huff.

    Survivors include: daughters, Melissa “Missy” Murray, LaGrange, Margaret Hall, Buckner, Charlene Huff, LaGrange and Paula Ashcraft, Milton; sons, Charles “Chuck” Huff, Jr., Taylorsville and Timothy Huff, Simpsonville, and 16 grandchildren.

  • Gladys Buchanan, 93

    Gladys Buchanan, 93, Milton, died Thursday, Aug. 17 in Milton.

    Born Feb. 18, 1919 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Emmet and Fannie Brewer Barnes.

    Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine Kidwell, Milton; two sisters, Mary Jennings and Mamie Kannmacher, both of Indianapolis; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    Her husband, J.T. Buchanan; three stepbrothers and her parents preceded her in death.

    Services were held Sunday, Aug. 19 at Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton.

  • Kendrick Edward Persell, 58

    Kendrick Edward Persell, 58, entered into eternal peace on August 15, 2012 following a short illness joining his mom and dad, Charles and Jewell Persell and sister Penny Peavy.  

    Survivors include his wife Debbie, son Chance and granddaughter Nevaeh of Houston, Texas, son Patrick (Aura), grandson Swenn and granddaughter Lucy of Darmstadt, Germany and sisters Patsy Bargo (Bob), Pamela Welsh and Peggy Powell.

  • John Trimble Morrison, 88

    John Trimble Morrison, 88, Bedford died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 in Bedford. Born Sept. 2, 1923, in Trimble County, he was the son of James and Stella Mae Morrison.

    Survivors include one son, Henry C. Payton, Marengo, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Brandy Mitchell and Carrie Mitchell, both of Marengo, Ind. several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    His parents, one sister, Anna Bell Williams and four brothers, William, Dan, Owen and Frank Morrison preceded him in death.

    Mark Allen Rexroat, 43, Bedford, died Friday, August 10, 2012 in Louisville, Ky.  Mark was born July 1, 1969 in Great Falls, Montana to Gary and Mary Ella Jackson Rexroat.

    Anna Catherine Craig Leach, 95, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 at her residence in Trimble County.

    She was born on September 24, 1916 to the late Elliott Surber and Mable Wise Craig in Bedford.

    Survivors include her granddaughters; Dwaina Richmond, Bedford, and Audie Mahoney, Madison, Ind., her grandson Kelley Leach, Bedford; brothers and sisters, Doris Doyle, Erlanger, Wilson Craig, Bedford, Delphine Jett, Lexington, Ind., Jean Andrew, Bedford, Adele Blackaby, Cleves, OH and John C. Craig, West Harrison. IN.

  • Charles Leslie Ezell, 62

    Charles Leslie Ezell 62, died Aug 1, 2012 at the Robley Rex Veterans Medical Center in Louisville.

    He was born on Aug 3, 1949 in Louisville, to Charles Robert and Bessie Young Ezell.

    Survivors include his mother, Bessie Young Ezell Smith; two children, Charles M. Ezell, West Palm Beach, Fla. and Robert C. Ezell, Louisville; his brothers and sisters, Carol Hall, Bedford; Gary Ezell, Denise Kirsh, Mosely, VA; Darrell Ezell, Brian Ezell, and Lisa Skelton, all of Richmond, VA; and four grandchildren.
