    BEDFORD-, Ky.—Charles O. May, 82 of Bedford, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. He was born in Trimble County on June 20, 1932, the son of Charles and Hallie Harmon May.
    He is survived by his wife, Rawena Aldridge May, three sons: Jeff May, Paul Scott May and Charles May, all of Milton; two brothers: Paul Sidney May of Carrollton and Warren May of Berea; two sisters: Barbara Reed of North Carolina and Eva Loring of New Castle; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

    PENDLETON, Ky.—Carolyn P. Simons, 82 of Pendleton, died on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at Signature Healthcare in Bedford. She was born on May 31, 1932 in Pendleton, to the late Wyatt and Dixie Kidwell Powell.
    Carolyn is survived by her children: Diane Horine (Bobby) of Pendleton, Brian Simons (Michelle) of Frankfort and Eric Simons of Pendleton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Edward C. Simons.

  • Paul Anthony Kunkel, 67

    BEDFORD, Ky.—Paul Anthony Kunkel, 67 of Bedford, died at his home on Jan. 30, 2015. Paul was born in Covington on Feb. 1, 1947, to the late Robert Kunkel and Catherine Broghammer Kunkel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.
    Paul is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Kunkel of Bedford; his son Brian Kunkel (Carolee) of Bedford, his daughter, Anne Kunkel (Jason Pintler), of Boise, Idaho; three grandchildren; his siblings, Robert Kunkel (Karin), Kathleen Mains (Milton), Richard Kunkel (Sue), Jane Bush and Gloria Simpson (Jeff).

    LEXINGTON, Ind.—Richard S. Duncan, 83 of Lexington, Ind., died Monday, Feb. 9, 2015. He was born on July 22, 1942 in Milton to Wilbur and Opal Horine Duncan. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
    He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris M. Gray Duncan of Lexington, Ind.; two daughters, Vicki Scroggin of Lexington, Ind., and Denise Bryant (Mark) of Madison, Ind.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren,; his brother, James Duncan of Carrollton; his sister, Dorothy Jones of Madison, Ind.; and other relatives.

    MADISON, Ind.—Edna Cox, 89 of Madison, Ind., died Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 in Madison. She was born March 25, 1925 in Madison to Charles and Ida Giltner.
    She is survived by two daughters, Susan Goode-Moore (Chuck) of Arlington, Texas, and Beth Johnson (Monty) of Madison, Ind.; her son, Joe C. Cox (Nancy) of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, Joe E. Cox, her brothers, Cecil, Luther and Charles Giltner.

    BEDFORD, Ky.—Grace Hannah Wiley Callis, 91 of Bedford, died at Green Valley Nursing Center in Carrollton, on Feb. 2, 2015. She was born on Oct. 17, 1922 to the late George and Mammie Williamson Wiley in Bedford.
    She is survived by three sons: Gary Callis (Jackie) and Ronald Callis (Tanyia), both of Bedford, and Terry Callis (Tammy) of Madison, Ind., her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many family and friends.
    Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Buell Callis, one son Charles Edward Callis and her brothers and sisters.

    sa May Smith Scott Powell Walcott, 77 of Shelbyville, Ind., passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hope, Ind., surrounded by her family to be with the Lord.
    Born Feb. 11, 1937 in Trimble County, Rosa was the daughter of James Henry and Ollie Blanche Griffith Smith.

    BEDFORD, Ky.—Dorothy Jean “Dotsie” Perry died Jan. 20, 2015 at her residence in Bedford. She was born on July 7, 1930 to the late Cecil Yeager and Ella Mae Gammons Yeager.
    She is survived by her son: Gary Graham (Lisa) of Bedford; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
    “Dotsie” was preceded in death by her husband Ewing Perry, daughter Suzanne Graham, and one great-grandson, Christopher Goodin.

    She was born June 8, 1943 in Madison, Ind., to Raymond Adams and Mary Hall Adams Straub.
    She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Gossom (Eddy) of Milton; her son, Jeff Morgan (Lisa) of Bedford; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great granddaughters, her sister, Janet Greenwood of Milton, her sister-in-law who was like a sister to her, Edna Adams Smith of Kent, Ind.; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
