  • Crealie Smith Fugate, 86

    Crealie Smith Fugate, 86 of Milton, died on Nov. 21, 2014 at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Ind. She was born on Aug. 20, 1928 to the late Arthur and Parthenia Fugate Smith in Hardburley, Ky.
    She is survived by two sons; Norris G. Fugate (Edith) of Louisville and Richard D. Fugate (Kathy) of Milton; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.

  • Etta Jean Bright Gaines McKeand, 72

    Etta Jean Bright Gaines McKeand, 72 of Madison, Ind., died Wednesday, Nov. 19, at The Waters of Clifty Falls, Madison. She was born June 3, 1942 in Madison, Ind., to Leonard and Wilma Fox Bright.
    She is survived by: her three sons, Gary Bright of Milton, Ronnie Gaines of Austin, Ind., and Ernest McKeand, III of Fargo, North Dakota; her daughter, Julie Couchman (Richard) of Madison, Ind.; six grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

    Lucian Ruben Sullivan, 67, died at his home in Bedford on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014. He was born on March 5, 1947 to the late Tom Sullivan and Susie Downey Sullivan.

  • James B. Williams, 84

    MUNCIE Ind. – James B. Williams, 84, Muncie, passed away at his residence on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014.
    He was born Feb. 9, 1930 in Milton, Ky., the son of Isaiah and Eliza (Meadows) Williams. James was employed for 22 years by Renners Express where he worked in transportation. James was a member of the Eagle Lodge FOE No 231

  • Walter Lee Proctor, 87

    Walter Lee “Bud” Proctor, 87, of Carrollton, Ky., formerly of Bedford, died on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
    He is survived by his wife, Virgie Allene (Penn) Proctor of Carrollton, a daughter, Bonnie Sue (Edgar) Brumback of Carrollton, two sons, James Thomas Proctor and John Franklin Proctor both of Carrollton, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

  • Albert “Shab” Arnold, 80

    WORTHVILLE, Ky.—Albert “Shab” Arnold, 80, of Worthville, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Ky.
    Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton. Burial was in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Ky. Arrangements were entrusted to the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton.

  • Bill Banks, 73

    LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Bill Banks, 73, of Louisville, formerly of Carroll County, Ky. died Nov. 3, 2014,  in Louisville.
    Funeral services were held Saturday  Nov. 8, 2014, in the First Christian Church of Scottsburg in Scottsburg, Ky. officiated by Phil LaMaster. Burial was in the Scottsburg Cemetery. Stewart and Hoagland Funeral Home, 80 N. First St.. was entrusted with the arrangements.

  • Lorene Hawkins Cassidy, 86

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Lorene Hawkins Cassidy, 86, of Carrollton died Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky.  
    Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 6, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton. Burial was in the Port Royal Cemetery, Port Royal, Ky.
    Survivors include her husband, Paul F. Cassidy; a son, Larry Hawkins of Bedford, Ky.; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
     

  • Tracy L. Joyce, 52

    Tracy L. Joyce, 52 of Milton, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 in Louisville, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. She was born on July 8, 1962 in Madison, Ind., to “Shorty” Ellis Garner Joyce and Agnes Gladys Burkhardt Joyce.
    Tracy is survived by her mother, Agnes Joyce of Milton; her siblings: Jeff Joyce (Lynn) of Milton, Kenny Joyce (Kathy) of Madison, Ind., Darla Via (Lee) of Milton, and several nieces and nephews.  

  • Connie Dale Hughes, 64

    Connie Dale Hughes, age 64, of Bedford, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville.  She was born in Shelbyville and was the daughter of the late Dale E. Hinkley and Ruth Croxton Hinkley.  She retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a Social Worker, and was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church in Henry County.
