  • Della Pardo Conner, 96

    Della Pardo Conner 96, of Bedford Kentucky died on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was born on Feb. 15, 1918 in Bedford, to the late Elizabeth Burrows and William J. Pardo.
    Della is survived by her grandson Charles Joseph Conner, Jr., of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of many years Delphin Conner, who passed away on Jan. 2, 2010, and her son Charles Conner, Sr.

  • Mary E. Simpson Hardin, 92

    Mary E. Simpson Hardin, 92 of Bedford, died on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Signature Healthcare in Bedford. She was born on June 12, 1922 in Maude, Ky., to the late Ernest and Mary Breeding Simpson.
    She is survived by her daughter in-law Bonnie Hardin of Bedford.
    Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her children: Bobby Norris, Bonnie Jean Hardin and James R. Hardin; two brothers James and Richard Simpson and one sister Norma Nalley.
    Services were held Wednesday, July 16, at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford. Burial was in the Bedford Cemetery.

  • Roger Dale Stepp, 55

    Westminster–Roger Dale Stepp, 55, died Monday, July 7, 2014.
    Born in Pike County, Ky., he was the son of the late James Homer Stepp and Goldie Rose Belcher.
    Survivors include his wife, Judy, three daughters, Georgie Marcengill, Betty Atkinson and Goldie “Sissy” Taylor all of Westminster; sisters, Nancy Duncan and Mary Harris, also of Westminster; stepbrother, Michael Belcher of Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
    A funeral service was held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Souls Harbor Baptist Church. Burial followed in Heritage Memorial Gardens.

    Donna Maria “Dee” Mattingly, 54 of Bedford, died Monday, June 30, 2014.
    Donna was preceded in death by her parents, George and Jane (Moll) Krimple. She is survived by her sister, Mary “C.C.” Casebier.
    As per her wishes, her body has been cremated and there will be no service.

  • Henry Carroll ‘Hank’ Mattick, 68

    Henry Carroll Mattick, 68 of Campbellsburg, died on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange. He was born to Fred and Naomi Clark Mattick in LaGrange. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
    He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ami Marie Hancock Mattick; and a brother, Fred C. Mattick, of Whitleyville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Funeral services were held Friday, June 20 at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg, with burial in the New Castle Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

    POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Charles Eugene Fox, 83, of Pompano Beach, formerly of Milton, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
    Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton with the Rev. Dr. Chris White officiating. Burial was in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton.

    Christopher “Chris” Allen Carder passed away at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, GA on Sunday, April 13, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer. Chris was born on August 20, 1965 in Carrollton, Ky. to Jack Carder and Joann (Pryor) Carder Parker.  He is survived by his wife, Donna, daughters Caroline and Claire, as well as his siblings Carla Carder Knack and Jack Carder.
