The annual Trimble County Relay for Life event was held Friday at the Bedford Elementary School.

“We are actually still collecting money for the event, so the total will go up, but at this time, we’ve raised just over $5,000 in this year’s event,” Kristin Darrow said. Darrow is community representative for the Mid-South Division of the American Cancer Society, Inc.

There were six teams participating in the event:
