Joe Reid Tingle, a 1969 graduate of Trimble County High School, is a member of the newly-formed mounted police unit in Lexington. Tingle, the son of Hayward and Lois Tingle, Bedford, holds a degree in law enforcement from Eastern Kentucky University. The unit patrols downtown Lexington five days a week and events at the Kentucky Horse Park. Tingle rides a nine-year-old quarter horse named Ranger.
