Dec. 13, 1984 (30 Years Ago)
One to three inches had been forecast but six to nine inches of snow actually fell on Trimble County and surrounding areas on Wednesday evening, Dec. 5. Residents got up the next morning to find the wind had blown the snow into drifts and the temperature had fallen to nine degrees. Snow had drifted two-and-a-half to three feet deep on Liberty Road and Fisher Ridge. Trimble County Sheriff Howard Long said that about 10 vehicles got into trouble on county roads, most on Milton Hill.
